महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-226, verse-12

याज्यतः शिष्यतो वापि कन्यया वा धनं महत् ।
यद्यागच्छेद्यजेद्दद्यान्नैकोऽश्नीयात्कथंचन ॥१२॥
12. yājyataḥ śiṣyato vāpi kanyayā vā dhanaṁ mahat ,
yadyāgacchedyajeddadyānnaiko'śnīyātkathaṁcana.

yat āgacchet yajet dadyāt na ekaḥ aśnīyāt kathaṃcana

12. If considerable wealth (dhana) is received from one for whom a Vedic ritual (yajña) is performed, or from a disciple, or even from a maiden, one should use it to perform a Vedic ritual (yajña) and give (to others); one should never consume it alone.
