महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-226, verse-15

अर्हतामनुरूपाणां नादेयं ह्यस्ति किंचन ।
उच्चैःश्रवसमप्यश्वं प्रापणीयं सतां विदुः ॥१५॥
15. arhatāmanurūpāṇāṁ nādeyaṁ hyasti kiṁcana ,
uccaiḥśravasamapyaśvaṁ prāpaṇīyaṁ satāṁ viduḥ.
15. arhatām anurūpāṇām na adeyam hi asti kiṃcana
uccaiḥśravasam api aśvam prāpaṇīyam satām viduḥ
15. arhatām anurūpāṇām hi kiṃcana na adeyam asti
satām uccaiḥśravasam api aśvam prāpaṇīyam viduḥ
15. Indeed, for those who are deserving and suitable, there is nothing that should not be given. The virtuous know that even the horse Uccaiḥśravas is fit to be offered (or given).
