महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-226, verse-7

प्रजावाञ्श्रोत्रियो यज्वा मुक्तो दिव्यैस्त्रिभिरृणैः ।
अथान्यानाश्रमान्पश्चात्पूतो गच्छति कर्मभिः ॥७॥
7. prajāvāñśrotriyo yajvā mukto divyaistribhirṛṇaiḥ ,
athānyānāśramānpaścātpūto gacchati karmabhiḥ.

atha anyān āśramān paścāt pūtaḥ gacchati karmabhiḥ

7. One who has children, is learned in the Vedas, and has performed sacrifices is freed from the three divine debts. Then, purified by his actions (karma), he subsequently proceeds to the other stages of life (āśrama).
