योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-22, verse-38

यथास्थितां च निश्चित्तां वर्जयित्वा स्थिरोपमाम् ।
न कयाचिदपि स्थित्या शाम्यत्यहमिति भ्रमः ॥ ३८ ॥
yathāsthitāṃ ca niścittāṃ varjayitvā sthiropamām ,
na kayācidapi sthityā śāmyatyahamiti bhramaḥ 38
38. yathāsthitām ca niścitām varjayitvā sthiropamām
na kayācit api sthityā śāmyati aham iti bhramaḥ
38. yathāsthitām niścitām sthiropamām ca varjayitvā,
aham iti bhramaḥ kayācit api sthityā na śāmyati
38. Even by abandoning fixed, certain, or seemingly stable notions (about oneself), the delusion 'I am' (ahaṅkāra) does not subside through any particular state or condition whatsoever.
