This (individual, asau) becomes a visual eye (dṛṅnetram), a tasting tongue (svadanam jihvā), and a hearing ear (śrutiḥ śrotram). Thus, he becomes bound by these five initial tendencies (vāsanāḥ) and immerses himself in them.
