योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-12, verse-38

एकोऽभिलाष उत्पन्नो भोगेभ्यश्च निवार्यते ।
तत्क्षये यात्यविद्यायाश्चतुर्थांशः स्वयत्नतः ॥ ३८ ॥
eko'bhilāṣa utpanno bhogebhyaśca nivāryate ,
tatkṣaye yātyavidyāyāścaturthāṃśaḥ svayatnataḥ 38

38. When a single desire, having arisen, is restrained from sense objects (bhoga), then, upon its destruction, a fourth part of ignorance (avidyā) vanishes through one's own effort.
