भुशुण्ड उवाच ।
ख एव व्योम संपन्नमिति संकल्पनं यथा ।
भ्रान्तिमात्रमसद्रूपं तथाहंभावभावनम् ॥ १ ॥

kha eva vyoma saṃpannamiti saṃkalpanaṃ yathā ,
bhrāntimātramasadrūpaṃ tathāhaṃbhāvabhāvanam 1

Bhusuṇḍa said: Just as the conception "the sky itself has become space" is merely an illusion, having an unreal form, similarly, the notion of "I-ness" (ahaṅkāra) is also of that nature.
