While the restless crane, joyfully crying out loudly from a tree on the riverbank, observes, simultaneously, the tiny body of a minnow (śapharī) is skillfully saved from fear in a turbid puddle (palvala) within a cow's hoof-print (goṣpada), as if it were plunging into the chest of a beloved. Indeed, for one who has endured such a great calamity (mahā-āpadi) and experienced a broken heart (hṛt-bhaṅgena) to the extent of near death (mṛtena) here, what else could possibly bring such profound happiness?
