योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-118, verse-13

बकाजगरमद्गूनां हृदि या प्राणिनां धृतिः ।
अचर्वितनिगीर्णानां मन्ये निद्रोपमैव सा ॥ १३ ॥
bakājagaramadgūnāṃ hṛdi yā prāṇināṃ dhṛtiḥ ,
acarvitanigīrṇānāṃ manye nidropamaiva sā 13
13. baka-ajagara-madgūnām hṛdi yā prāṇinām dhṛtiḥ |
acarvita-nigīrṇānām manye nidrā-upamā eva sā ||
13. prāṇinām baka-ajagara-madgūnām hṛdi yā dhṛtiḥ,
acarvita-nigīrṇānām sā eva nidrā-upamā manye.
13. The satisfaction (dhṛti) that exists in the hearts of creatures like cranes, pythons, and diving birds, I believe, is simply like sleep for those who have swallowed without chewing.
