योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-111, verse-27

अपृच्छच्चैनमेकान्ते किं चित्तं भगवन्वद ।
स्वरूपं ब्रूहि चित्तस्य येन तत्संत्यजाम्यहम् ॥ २७ ॥
apṛcchaccainamekānte kiṃ cittaṃ bhagavanvada ,
svarūpaṃ brūhi cittasya yena tatsaṃtyajāmyaham 27
27. apṛcchat ca enam ekānte kim cittam bhagavan vada
svarūpaṃ brūhi cittasya yena tat saṃtyajāmi aham
27. sa ekānte enam apṛcchat bhagavan cittam kim vada
cittasya svarūpaṃ brūhi yena aham tat saṃtyajāmi
27. And he asked him in solitude, "O venerable one, what is the mind (citta)? Please tell me the true nature (svarūpa) of the mind, so that I may completely abandon it."
