योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-21, verse-35

यस्य स्त्री तस्य भोगेच्छा निःस्त्रीकस्य क्व भोगभूः ।
स्त्रियं त्यक्त्वा जगत्त्यक्तं जगत्त्यक्त्वा सुखी भवेत् ॥ ३५ ॥
yasya strī tasya bhogecchā niḥstrīkasya kva bhogabhūḥ ,
striyaṃ tyaktvā jagattyaktaṃ jagattyaktvā sukhī bhavet 35
35. yasya strī tasya bhoga-icchā niḥstrīkasya kva bhogabhūḥ |
striyam tyaktvā jagat tyaktam jagat tyaktvā sukhī bhavet ||
35. yasya strī,
tasya bhoga-icchā (asti).
niḥstrīkasya kva bhogabhūḥ? striyam tyaktvā jagat tyaktam (bhavati).
jagat tyaktvā sukhī bhavet.
35. He who has a wife will have desires for worldly enjoyments; but for one without a wife, where is the scope for enjoyment? By renouncing women, the world is renounced; and by renouncing the world, one becomes truly happy.
