योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-21, verse-29

पिबन्ति पांसवो रक्तं क्रव्यादाश्चाप्यनेकशः ।
चर्माणि च शिवा भुङ्क्ते खं यान्ति प्राणवायवः ॥ २९ ॥
pibanti pāṃsavo raktaṃ kravyādāścāpyanekaśaḥ ,
carmāṇi ca śivā bhuṅkte khaṃ yānti prāṇavāyavaḥ 29
29. pibanti pāṃsavaḥ raktam kravyādāḥ ca api anekaśaḥ
charmāṇi ca śivā bhuṅkte kham yānti prāṇavāyavaḥ
29. pāṃsavaḥ raktam pibanti kravyādāḥ ca api anekaśaḥ
śivā ca charmāṇi bhuṅkte prāṇavāyavaḥ kham yānti
29. Dust particles drink the blood, and carrion-eaters consume much of it. Jackals feast on the skins, and the vital breaths (prāṇa) return to the sky.
