योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-21, verse-19

ललनाविपुलालाने मनोमत्तमतंगजः ।
रतिशृङ्खलया ब्रह्मन्बद्धस्तिष्ठति मूकवत् ॥ १९ ॥
lalanāvipulālāne manomattamataṃgajaḥ ,
ratiśṛṅkhalayā brahmanbaddhastiṣṭhati mūkavat 19

19. O Brahman, the mind (manas), like a maddened elephant, remains bound and silent, as if mute, by the chain of passion (rati) to the vast elephant-tying post (ālānam) that is women.
