वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-22, verse-21

राघवं तं बलोत्सिक्तं भ्रातरं चापि लक्ष्मणम् ।
अहत्वा सायकैस्तीक्ष्णैर्नोपावर्तितुमुत्सहे ॥२१॥
21. rāghavaṃ taṃ balotsiktaṃ bhrātaraṃ cāpi lakṣmaṇam ,
ahatvā sāyakaistīkṣṇairnopāvartitumutsahe.
21. rāghavam tam balotsiktam bhrātaram ca api lakṣmaṇam
ahatvā sāyakaiḥ tīkṣṇaiḥ na upāvartitum utsahe
21. na utsahe ahatvā tam balotsiktam rāghavam ca api
bhrātaram lakṣmaṇam tīkṣṇaiḥ sāyakaiḥ upāvartitum
21. I do not venture to return without having killed that Rāghava, who is arrogant with his might, and also his brother Lakshmana, with my sharp arrows.
