वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-48, verse-6

नूनं प्राप्ताः स्म संभेदं गङ्गायमुनयोर्वयम् ।
तथा हि श्रूयते शम्ब्दो वारिणा वारिघट्टितः ॥६॥
6. nūnaṃ prāptāḥ sma saṃbhedaṃ gaṅgāyamunayorvayam ,
tathā hi śrūyate śambdo vāriṇā vārighaṭṭitaḥ.

tathā hi śrūyate śabdaḥ vāriṇā vārighaṭṭitaḥ

6. Surely we have reached the confluence (saṃbheda) of the Ganges and Yamuna. For indeed, a sound of water agitated by water is heard.
