वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-48, verse-16

तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राजपुत्रस्य धीमतः ।
उपानयत धर्मात्मा गामर्घ्यमुदकं ततः ॥१६॥
16. tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā rājaputrasya dhīmataḥ ,
upānayata dharmātmā gāmarghyamudakaṃ tataḥ.

upānayata dharmātmā gām arghyam udakam tataḥ
16. tataḥ dharmātmā tasya dhīmataḥ rājaputrasya
tat vacanam śrutvā gām arghyam udakam upānayata
16. Having heard those words from that wise prince, the righteous one (dharmātmā) then presented him with a cow, water for a respectful offering (arghya), and (other) water.
