वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-41, verse-1

ततस्तु तमसा तीरं रम्यमाश्रित्य राघवः ।
सीतामुद्वीक्ष्य सौमित्रिमिदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥१॥
1. tatastu tamasā tīraṃ ramyamāśritya rāghavaḥ ,
sītāmudvīkṣya saumitrimidaṃ vacanamabravīt.

sītām udvīkṣya saumitrim idam vacanam abravīt

1. Thereupon, Rāghava (Rāma), having resorted to the beautiful bank of the Tamasā [river], and having looked at Sītā and Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa), spoke this statement.
