योग्यान्ययोग्यतां यान्ति कालवश्या हि योग्यता ॥९॥

9. tathānyānyapyayogyāni yogyatāṃ yānti kālataḥ .

Similarly, even things that are unsuitable acquire suitability (yogyatā) over time, and suitable things lose their unsuitability. Indeed, fitness (yogyatā) itself is subject to the sway of time.
