एवमेतत्स्मरालापस्तवायं पृच्छ मा गुरुम् ।

evametatsmarālāpastavāyaṃ pṛccha mā gurum .
ahaṃ pṛcchāmi nālāpo mama kāmakathāśrayaḥ.

The merchant said: "That is so. This discourse about love (smara) is yours; don't ask the teacher about it. I am asking a question, but my talk is not concerning love stories (kāmakathā)."
