महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-39, verse-4

द्रौणायनिशरच्छन्नं न प्राज्ञायत किंचन ।
बाणभूतमभूत्सर्वमायोधनशिरो हि तत् ॥४॥
4. drauṇāyaniśaracchannaṁ na prājñāyata kiṁcana ,
bāṇabhūtamabhūtsarvamāyodhanaśiro hi tat.

bāṇabhūtam abhūt sarvam āyodhanaśiraḥ hi tat

4. Indeed, the entire battlefield (āyodhanaśiras), completely covered by Aśvatthāman's (Drauṇāyani) arrows, transformed into nothing but arrows, and nothing at all could be discerned.
