महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-39, verse-35

अनुक्त्वा च ततः किंचिच्छरवर्षेण पाण्डवम् ।
छादयामास समरे क्रुद्धोऽन्तक इव प्रजाः ॥३५॥
35. anuktvā ca tataḥ kiṁciccharavarṣeṇa pāṇḍavam ,
chādayāmāsa samare kruddho'ntaka iva prajāḥ.

35. And then, without saying anything further, enraged, he covered the Pāṇḍava (Arjuna) in battle with a shower of arrows, just as Antaka (the god of death) overwhelms living beings.
