महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-39, verse-27

ततः शरशतज्वालः सेनाकक्षं महारथः ।
द्रौणिर्ददाह समरे कक्षमग्निर्यथा वने ॥२७॥
27. tataḥ śaraśatajvālaḥ senākakṣaṁ mahārathaḥ ,
drauṇirdadāha samare kakṣamagniryathā vane.

27. Then, the great warrior Droṇi (Aśvatthāman), whose arrows were like a hundred flames, burned the enemy's ranks in battle, just as a fire consumes dry undergrowth in a forest.
