महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-36, verse-9

तस्य नादं ततः श्रुत्वा सिंहस्येवामिषैषिणः ।
नामृष्यन्त सुसंरब्धाः पुनर्द्रोणमुखा रथाः ॥९॥
9. tasya nādaṁ tataḥ śrutvā siṁhasyevāmiṣaiṣiṇaḥ ,
nāmṛṣyanta susaṁrabdhāḥ punardroṇamukhā rathāḥ.
9. tasya nādam tataḥ śrutvā siṃhasya iva āmiṣaiṣiṇaḥ
na amṛṣyanta susaṃrabdhāḥ punar droṇamukhāḥ rathāḥ
9. tataḥ tasya āmiṣaiṣiṇaḥ siṃhasya iva nādam śrutvā
susaṃrabdhāḥ droṇamukhāḥ rathāḥ punar na amṛṣyanta
9. Then, having heard his roar, which was like that of a lion eager for prey, the charioteers led by Droṇa, now greatly enraged, could no longer tolerate it.
