महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-36, verse-23

ततस्तस्मिन्हते वीरे सौभद्रेणाश्मकेश्वरे ।
संचचाल बलं सर्वं पलायनपरायणम् ॥२३॥
23. tatastasminhate vīre saubhadreṇāśmakeśvare ,
saṁcacāla balaṁ sarvaṁ palāyanaparāyaṇam.

saṃcacāla balam sarvam palāyanaparāyaṇam
23. tataḥ saubhadreṇa tasmin hate vīre āśmakeśvare
sarvam balam palāyanaparāyaṇam saṃcacāla
23. Then, when that brave king of the Aśmakas (Āśmakeśvara) was slain by Abhimanyu (Saubhadra), the entire army, intent on flight, began to move (i.e., retreat).
