महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-156, verse-26

मया न निहतः पूर्वमेष युष्मत्प्रियेप्सया ।
एष हि ब्राह्मणद्वेषी यज्ञद्वेषी च राक्षसः ॥२६॥
26. mayā na nihataḥ pūrvameṣa yuṣmatpriyepsayā ,
eṣa hi brāhmaṇadveṣī yajñadveṣī ca rākṣasaḥ.

26. Previously, he was not slain by me out of a desire for your well-being. For this demon (rākṣasa) is indeed a hater of brahmins and a hater of sacrificial rites (yajña).
