महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-125, verse-27

स्वयं हि मृत्युर्विहितः सत्यसंधेन संयुगे ।
भवानुपेक्षां कुरुते सुशिष्यत्वाद्धनंजये ॥२७॥
27. svayaṁ hi mṛtyurvihitaḥ satyasaṁdhena saṁyuge ,
bhavānupekṣāṁ kurute suśiṣyatvāddhanaṁjaye.

bhavān upekṣām kurute suśiṣyatvāt dhanaṃjaye
27. hi saṃyuge satyasaṃdhena svayam mṛtyuḥ vihitaḥ
bhavān dhanaṃjaye suśiṣyatvāt upekṣām kurute
27. Indeed, death has been brought upon himself in battle by one whose vow (satyasaṃdha) is true. Yet you, out of excellent discipleship (suśiṣyatva) towards Dhanaṃjaya (Arjuna), neglect (upekṣā) [your duty].
