If your conduct (sadvṛtta) is virtuous, then by that you shall become dear to me. This refers to conduct imbued with the qualities of natural law (dharma) and purpose (artha), and never by any other kind. It should be conduct endowed with both divine and human attributes, and practiced by the virtuous.
