वैकृते चासति कथं मन्यध्वं मामनागसम् ।
अरिं विब्रूत तद्विप्राः सतां समय एष हि ॥२॥

2. vaikṛte cāsati kathaṁ manyadhvaṁ māmanāgasam ,
ariṁ vibrūta tadviprāḥ satāṁ samaya eṣa hi.

And since no malicious act (vaikṛta) exists on my part, how can you consider me faultless? Therefore, O learned ones (viprāḥ), declare me an enemy, because this is truly the code of conduct (samaya) for virtuous individuals (satām).
