महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-73, verse-22

स तेन विजयस्तूर्णमस्यन्विद्धः करे भृशम् ।
मुमोच गाण्डीवं दुःखात्तत्पपाताथ भूतले ॥२२॥
22. sa tena vijayastūrṇamasyanviddhaḥ kare bhṛśam ,
mumoca gāṇḍīvaṁ duḥkhāttatpapātātha bhūtale.

mumoca gāṇḍīvam duḥkhāt tat papāta atha bhūtale

22. Struck severely in the hand by that (arrow) while he was swiftly discharging (arrows), Vijaya (Arjuna), in pain, released the Gāṇḍīva bow, and it then fell to the ground.
