बृहस्पतिरुवाच ।
अमर्त्यं याजयित्वाहं याजयिष्ये न मानुषम् ।
मरुत्त गच्छ वा मा वा निवृत्तोऽस्म्यद्य याजनात् ॥८॥

8. bṛhaspatiruvāca ,
amartyaṁ yājayitvāhaṁ yājayiṣye na mānuṣam ,
marutta gaccha vā mā vā nivṛtto'smyadya yājanāt.

Bṛhaspati said: 'After officiating for an immortal, I will not officiate for a mortal. O Marutta, go or stay; I have now withdrawn from officiating Vedic rituals.'
