महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-6, verse-22

नारद उवाच ।
उन्मत्तवेषं बिभ्रत्स चङ्क्रमीति यथासुखम् ।
वाराणसीं तु नगरीमभीक्ष्णमुपसेवते ॥२२॥
22. nārada uvāca ,
unmattaveṣaṁ bibhratsa caṅkramīti yathāsukham ,
vārāṇasīṁ tu nagarīmabhīkṣṇamupasevate.
22. nāradaḥ uvāca unmattaveṣam bibhrat saḥ caṅkramīti
yathāsukham vārāṇasīm tu nagarīm abhīkṣṇam upasevate

22. Nārada said: "Bearing the guise of a madman, he wanders about as he pleases, but he frequently resorts to the city of Vārāṇasī."
