महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-59, verse-5

इत्युक्तः पुण्डरीकाक्षः पित्रा मातुस्तदन्तिके ।
शशंस कुरुवीराणां संग्रामे निधनं यथा ॥५॥
5. ityuktaḥ puṇḍarīkākṣaḥ pitrā mātustadantike ,
śaśaṁsa kuruvīrāṇāṁ saṁgrāme nidhanaṁ yathā.
5. iti uktaḥ puṇḍarīkākṣaḥ pitrā mātuḥ tat antike
śaśaṃsa kuruvīrāṇām saṃgrāme nidhanam yathā
5. puṇḍarīkākṣaḥ pitrā mātuḥ tat antike iti uktaḥ
saṃgrāme kuruvīrāṇām nidhanam yathā śaśaṃsa
5. Thus addressed by his father in the presence of his mother, the lotus-eyed (puṇḍarīkākṣaḥ) [Kṛṣṇa] then narrated how the Kuru heroes met their demise in the war.
