दुष्टा रुष्टा व्याधिता दुर्बला वा न दातव्या याश्च मूल्यैरदत्तैः ।
क्लेशैर्विप्रं योऽफलैः संयुनक्ति तस्यावीर्याश्चाफलाश्चैव लोकाः ॥७॥

7. duṣṭā ruṣṭā vyādhitā durbalā vā; na dātavyā yāśca mūlyairadattaiḥ ,
kleśairvipraṁ yo'phalaiḥ saṁyunakti; tasyāvīryāścāphalāścaiva lokāḥ.

7. One should not give a cow that is corrupt, ill-tempered, diseased, or weak, nor one for which the price has not been paid. Whoever burdens a (dvija) brahmin with fruitless troubles, his worlds (loka) become devoid of vigor and without reward.
