महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-76, verse-18

सासृजत्सौरभेयीस्तु सुरभिर्लोकमातरः ।
सुवर्णवर्णाः कपिलाः प्रजानां वृत्तिधेनवः ॥१८॥
18. sāsṛjatsaurabheyīstu surabhirlokamātaraḥ ,
suvarṇavarṇāḥ kapilāḥ prajānāṁ vṛttidhenavaḥ.

18. Indeed, Surabhi created the Saurabheyīs, who were mothers of the world. They were golden-colored and tawny, serving as cows providing sustenance for all beings.
