महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-76, verse-33

हव्यं कव्यं तर्पणं शान्तिकर्म यानं वासो वृद्धबालस्य पुष्टिम् ।
एतान्सर्वान्गोप्रदाने गुणान्वै दाता राजन्नाप्नुयाद्वै सदैव ॥३३॥
33. havyaṁ kavyaṁ tarpaṇaṁ śāntikarma; yānaṁ vāso vṛddhabālasya puṣṭim ,
etānsarvāngopradāne guṇānvai; dātā rājannāpnuyādvai sadaiva.

33. Oblations for the gods, offerings for ancestors, libations, rites for peace, conveyances, clothing, and nourishment for the old and young—O King, the giver of cows indeed always attains all these benefits in the gift of cows.
