महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-76, verse-4

भीष्म उवाच ।
वत्सलां गुणसंपन्नां तरुणीं वस्त्रसंवृताम् ।
दत्त्वेदृशीं गां विप्राय सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते ॥४॥
4. bhīṣma uvāca ,
vatsalāṁ guṇasaṁpannāṁ taruṇīṁ vastrasaṁvṛtām ,
dattvedṛśīṁ gāṁ viprāya sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate.

dattvā īdṛśīm gām viprāya sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate
4. Bhīṣma said: By giving such a cow to a Brāhmin—a loving, virtuous, young cow, adorned with cloth—one is released from all sins.
