महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-67, verse-4

पर्णशालेति विख्यातो रमणीयो नराधिप ।
विद्वांसस्तत्र भूयिष्ठा ब्राह्मणाश्चावसंस्तदा ॥४॥
4. parṇaśāleti vikhyāto ramaṇīyo narādhipa ,
vidvāṁsastatra bhūyiṣṭhā brāhmaṇāścāvasaṁstadā.

vidvāṃsaḥ tatra bhūyiṣṭhāḥ brāhmaṇāḥ ca āvasan tadā
4. O King (narādhipa), that village, renowned as Parnashala, was charming. There, at that time, a great many learned brahmins resided.
