महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-67, verse-7

शमे निविष्टं विद्वांसमध्यापकमनादृतम् ।
मा चान्यमानयेथास्त्वं सगोत्रं तस्य पार्श्वतः ॥७॥
7. śame niviṣṭaṁ vidvāṁsamadhyāpakamanādṛtam ,
mā cānyamānayethāstvaṁ sagotraṁ tasya pārśvataḥ.

ca anyam ānayethāḥ tvam sagotram tasya pārśvataḥ
7. śame niviṣṭam vidvāṃsam adhyāpakam anādṛtam tvam

7. [Bring him who is] absorbed in tranquility, learned, a teacher, and unhonored. And do not bring another person of his same (gotra) lineage, nor one from his vicinity.
