महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-81, verse-22

मेधावी स्मृतिमान्दक्षः प्रकृत्या चानृशंसवान् ।
यो मानितोऽमानितो वा न संदूष्येत्कदाचन ॥२२॥
22. medhāvī smṛtimāndakṣaḥ prakṛtyā cānṛśaṁsavān ,
yo mānito'mānito vā na saṁdūṣyetkadācana.

22. He who is intelligent, possesses a good memory, is skillful, and naturally (prakṛti) compassionate; who, whether honored or dishonored, would never become corrupted at any time.
