पुरुषं योजयत्येव फलयोगेन भारत ॥१॥

Yudhishthira said: 'Whatever action (karma) is performed in this world, be it auspicious or inauspicious, it inevitably binds a person through its connection to the corresponding results (karma), O Bhārata.'
