महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-6, verse-11

द्रौणिमुक्ताञ्शरांस्तांस्तु तद्भूतं महदग्रसत् ।
उदधेरिव वार्योघान्पावको वडवामुखः ॥११॥
11. drauṇimuktāñśarāṁstāṁstu tadbhūtaṁ mahadagrasat ,
udadheriva vāryoghānpāvako vaḍavāmukhaḥ.
11. drauṇi-muktān śarān tān tu tat bhūtam mahat agrasat
udadheḥ iva vāri-oghān pāvakaḥ vaḍavā-mukhaḥ
11. tu tat mahat bhūtam drauṇi-muktān tān śarān agrasat,
udadheḥ vāri-oghān vaḍavā-mukhaḥ pāvakaḥ iva
11. But that great being swallowed those arrows released by Droṇi, just as the submarine fire (vaḍavāmukha) consumes the floods of water from the ocean.
