महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-53, verse-3

हूयमाने भृशं दीप्ते विधिवत्पावके तदा ।
न स्म स प्रापतद्वह्नौ तक्षको भयपीडितः ॥३॥
3. hūyamāne bhṛśaṁ dīpte vidhivatpāvake tadā ,
na sma sa prāpatadvahnau takṣako bhayapīḍitaḥ.

sma saḥ prāpatat vahnau takṣakaḥ bhaya-pīḍitaḥ
3. Even then, while the fiercely blazing sacrificial fire was being duly offered oblations, Takṣaka, tormented by fear, did not fall into the fire.
