महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-53, verse-24

सूत उवाच ।
मोक्षयित्वा स भुजगान्सर्पसत्राद्द्विजोत्तमः ।
जगाम काले धर्मात्मा दिष्टान्तं पुत्रपौत्रवान् ॥२४॥
24. sūta uvāca ,
mokṣayitvā sa bhujagānsarpasatrāddvijottamaḥ ,
jagāma kāle dharmātmā diṣṭāntaṁ putrapautravān.

dvijottamaḥ jagāma kāle dharmātmā diṣṭāntam putrapautravān
24. Sūta said: That excellent and righteous brahmin, Astika, having liberated the serpents from the serpent sacrifice, in time went to his destined end, blessed with sons and grandsons.
