महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-216, verse-4

कार्यं हि सुमहत्पार्थो गाण्डीवेन करिष्यति ।
चक्रेण वासुदेवश्च तन्मदर्थे प्रदीयताम् ।
ददानीत्येव वरुणः पावकं प्रत्यभाषत ॥४॥
4. kāryaṁ hi sumahatpārtho gāṇḍīvena kariṣyati ,
cakreṇa vāsudevaśca tanmadarthe pradīyatām ,
dadānītyeva varuṇaḥ pāvakaṁ pratyabhāṣata.

tat madarthe pradīyatām dadāmi

4. Agni (Pāvaka) said to Varuṇa, "Pārtha (Arjuna) will indeed accomplish a very great deed with the Gāṇḍīva bow, and Vāsudeva (Krishna) will do so with his discus. Therefore, let (the items) be given to me for that purpose." Varuṇa then replied, saying, "I give it."
