अध्येतारं परं वेदाः प्रयोक्तारं महाध्वराः ।
रक्षितारं शुभं वर्णा लेभिरे तं जनाधिपम् ॥५॥

5. The Vedas found in him their foremost student; the great sacrifices their chief performer; and the social classes (varṇa) their benevolent protector. Thus, they all obtained that lord of men.
