महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-146, verse-32

जातपुत्रा च वृद्धा च प्रियकामा च ते सदा ।
समीक्ष्यैतदहं सर्वं व्यवसायं करोम्यतः ॥३२॥
32. jātaputrā ca vṛddhā ca priyakāmā ca te sadā ,
samīkṣyaitadahaṁ sarvaṁ vyavasāyaṁ karomyataḥ.

samīkṣya etat aham sarvam vyavasāyam karomi ataḥ
32. Having considered all this—that I have borne sons, am old, and always desire your welfare—I therefore make this resolve.
