एकतो वा कुलं कृत्स्नमात्मा वा कुलवर्धन ।
न समं सर्वमेवेति बुधानामेष निश्चयः ॥२७॥

27. ekato vā kulaṁ kṛtsnamātmā vā kulavardhana ,
na samaṁ sarvameveti budhānāmeṣa niścayaḥ.

27. The wise are firmly convinced that the entire family, on one hand, or the self (ātman) that enhances the family's prosperity, on the other, are not equal; all these (family matters) are not equivalent (to the self's well-being).
