That state which is without (direct) knowing (avedanam) and imperceptible (asaṃvedyam); that which rests (āsitam) without any latent impressions (avāsanam); tranquil (śāntam), even-minded (samam), and without any specific designation (anullekham)—that (saḥ) is declared (ucyate) to be the abandonment of action (karmatyāga).
