But those who, without having achieved this renunciation of action (karma-saṃtyāga), perform other activities, they are, in effect, trying to destroy non-action (atyāga) itself – which is the true nature (ātman) of renunciation (tyāga) – an effort as futile as trying to kill the sky (gagana).
