योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-27, verse-30

या या जनस्य विपदो भावाभावदशाश्च याः ।
तृष्णाकरञ्जवल्ल्यास्ता मञ्जर्यः कटुकोमलाः ॥ ३० ॥
yā yā janasya vipado bhāvābhāvadaśāśca yāḥ ,
tṛṣṇākarañjavallyāstā mañjaryaḥ kaṭukomalāḥ 30

30. Whatever misfortunes people face, and whatever states of existence or non-existence they experience—these are the bitter-tender sprouts of the karanja creeper of craving (tṛṣṇā).
